THE GREEN MAN SYSTEM NOW COMES WITH 19MM FITTINGS AND PIPE-WORK, BUT WHAT'S THE POINT?!
Well, for those of us who have been growing in multipot systems for some time will know the importance of a wider bore irrigation. Newer growers may just think it's a marketing ploy. So in reality what's the big deal of using 19mm fittings and pipe-work?
19mm irrigation is what we call in the industry a 'pro-size', 13mm is the base standard for multi-pot grow systems, like that seen on the IWS. Both sizes still enable efficient water flow from reservoir to pots, but with 19mm it works so much better and is 46% more effective than the traditional 13mm.
A more efficient grow system lets your plants do what they do best without suffering from irrigation lags, blocked pipes and extra noise.
46% MORE EFFECTIVE
How is that so? the 19mmø fixtures, fittings and pipe-work that is now standard on the Green Man System, both Flood and Drain and the Combi System has an increased volume output of 46% compared to that of 13mm irrigation pipes and fittings. What that means is that the water and nutrient transfer happens SO MUCH FASTER, both for flooding and draining. This lets your plants start feeding earlier and really making the most of your light-cycles. It might not sound like much, but over a 13-week grow period it all adds up to extra crop!
With a wider bore on the pipe-work, The Green Man System virtually eliminates blockages. Normally caused by creeping roots and organic debris, the 19mmø is wide enough to deal with these basic problems that with a 13mmø irrigation system can be the death of a whole lot of plants.
Not only do you get a much more efficient and problem free system when using 19mmø fixtures, fitting and pipe-work. You'll also find your system runs quieter! The increased volume size of the irrigation system allows water and nutrients to flow easily at an optimum pipe pressure, as the 13mm pipe-line is smaller the pressure is greater creating more noise and friction as it flows through the system.
